On 20 June 2024, the Elgel Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, hosted a special event for the TDR community. The event was attended by representatives from the TDR Africa node, the TDR Ethiopia node, current and former TDR fellows, grantees, trainees, partners, and other researchers from the Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI).

The event featured presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities that highlighted TDR's impact, research accomplishments, and collaborations in Africa. The speakers included distinguished researchers, policymakers, and TDR alumni who shared their insights and experiences with TDR. The event also showcased some of the innovative and relevant research projects supported by TDR in the region.
