Scientific Working Groups (SWGs) provide support to specific portfolio workplans. These are part of TDR’s overall system of consultations and horizon scanning to assess needs and bring in the highest level of scientific oversight and input.
Members of SWGs help review and prioritize proposed activities, screen and select projects, recommend funding and follow-up progress and evaluation of results. They are selected by the TDR secretariat, in consultation with the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC), TDR’s main scientific review body. For coordination, each SWG’s chair is a member of STAC.
