Iza is responsible for administration related to TDR’s governance meetings and maintaining donor relations. She collaborates with the manager of partnerships and governance and provides technical support to TDR's project and grant management system.
Iza joined TDR in 2001, initially working in the diagnostics unit, then the malaria unit, before moving to the external relations and governance and TDR Director’s Office team. She began her career at the Center for Microbiological Research and Autovaccines in Poland, where she served as an assistant in charge of information and technical affairs.
A highlight of her career has been interacting with researchers involved in TDR-funded projects. “It’s given me a lot of satisfaction to see the significant positive changes they were able to make,” she says. An eternal optimist who thrives on accomplishment and forward motion, Iza sees her work as an opportunity to acquire new skills. She takes pleasure in TDR’s friendly work environment and organizational culture. “There is a sense of unity in TDR, the acceptance and tolerance of differences in perspectives and working styles between colleagues,” she observes.
