Corinne Merle (MD, MSc, PhD) is a scientist in the Implementation for Research Unit of the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) at WHO. She trained as a medical doctor and further specialised in infectious diseases and public health. She has been working on research related to infectious diseases for almost 25 years. Prior to joining TDR in 2014, she spent 10 years at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where her main research areas were tuberculosis, HIV and malaria. At TDR, she focuses on operational / implementation research on infectious diseases of poverty.
